Course.........The course is basically in the shape of a triangle and the race goes clockwise. The highest part of the course is along the southern leg. The race starts about 400m from the GAA grounds and finishes at the entrance.

Description...The start of the race, about 400 metres from the GAA grounds which can be seen in the distance...

At about 0.3 miles, you run past the entrance. The race will finish at this spot. Note the gentle uphill gradient...very minor and shouldn't be an issue.

At about 0.5 miles, you take a sharp turn right onto a flat road as you head south...

Just after the 1 mile mark, the road straightens out and falls away gently. There is a short climb at the end before the next junction...

At the junction which is at 1.4 miles, you turn right onto a road that heads west on a very gentle gradient...

At about 1.9 miles, the road goes through two bends and you are now at the highest point of the course......still only about 10 metres higher than the low point.

At 2.2 miles, you turn right and head north-east for home...

At about 2.8 miles, you go through a small cross roads....

...and then on past where the race started and onto the finish line at the GAA grounds.

Overall........Any climbs along the course tend to be very gradual and should present no real difficulty. The steepest part is at the junction by the 1.4 mile mark but it is very short. Expect to set a fast time on this course.
